This was a wonderful discovery I recently made from a storage building full of items, to be sold some day by a second hand shop that simply did not have room for this display on their main floor. While talking with the owners I mentioned that I was always on the lookout for the rare and unique they knew they had to show me this piece. They were right, it's beautiful and I haven't seen one of these in a good many years. This is a large functional table lamp that is designed as a wishing well (fully plumbed for an internal water display if you choose) with a young gent playing and singing songs to his young lover who sits opposed to him on the other side of the wall. The big handsome covered wishing well, the sounds and sights of running water and the warm glow of the lit lamp will create a mood in you room that no other single piece of decor could achieve. I feel quiet fortunate to live in an area of the country that these types of items come available. I’m sure that there must be a few others of these in existence, but I bet not too many are available. I have checked this out and it is sealed water tight in the base and with the neat water falls we have available now you could really breathe some special life into this one. This piece is no lightweight. It is built of good solid ceramic and weighs in at about 50lbs so the shipping is going to be a little bit steep on it. Probably around $35.00 to ship it anywhere in the USA, just so you are prepared for that amount and have calcluated it into your bidding amount. I'm going to start the auction out with this cost in mind also. I will have gone over this piece with a fine tooth comb and given it a thorough cleaning and polishing before it goes out to you, so if you see some places in the photos that need to be detailed, trust that they will be, before its shipped out to you. I just wanted to get some photos and get it listed on eBay. I have a full seven days to work on the details of it. There is a nice natural burlap material like lampshade that goes with it... Please notify me by the end of the auction it you would like it shipped also, I will ship that to you separately and because of its light weight it should not be very expensive at all.
