So here's the deal: My wife took my vintage cocktail shaker collection off the top of the bookshelf in the living room and put them in the basement. About a month later she asked me where they were. I hadn't even noticed that they were missing. Well, I'm retired now and drinking Sapphire martinis with my co-workers doesn't happen anymore. Since I had to let go of some of my old ways, it makes sense to also let go of some of my old things. I'm letting go of my favorite shake first: This is an 11 and 1/2 inch tall chrome plated Vintage Art Deco cocktail shaker with strainer. The shaker is about 3 and 1/2 inches in diameter. It features five inset bands of black paint, a shiny chrome finial on the top with a Bakelite band beneath it. The bottom has a prancing horse logo with the name "Chase". The shaker is in good condition for it's age. There are some scratches on it and two large distinct dents. There are some smaller dents also. The two larger dents show pretty clearly in the photos. I had a hard time getting good pictures due to the reflections so if you have any questions I will be happy to answer. By the way, I never used these vintage metal shakers to mix drinks.
