Description USA Shipping Only, No Overseas Bidding. Good looking vintage Chase parlor guitar . We believe it was made around 1910 in Chicago by Lyon & Healy Washburn. See pictures 8 and 9 where the headstock slots are squared at the top like all early Washburn guitars. The guitar is very solid and clean on the inside and out, with no neck separation or wood parts missing. The body is bound with multi layer purfling , top is solid spruce, back and sides are Brazilian rosewood, neck is V shaped mahogany and the fingerboard and bridge are ebony. The size is 38” long, 14” lower body width, 4 1/4” body depth, 1 7/8” at the nut and the scale is about 25”. No tuners included with the auction. We can’t find any old repairs except for the bridge work. The bridge area needs to be cleaned and the bridge re-glued. Note where someone has tried to re-glue the bridge with silver glue. The original neck binding is off of the neck and is in good condition, see picture number 4. There are three cracks in the top and two are very hard to see. See the last picture where there are four green dots located around the bridge area. Just below each dot there is a crack, the two bottom cracks are hard to see. The middle crack extends to the other side of the bridge area. This should be a fairly simple project for a luthier or someone with wood skills. Please read more
