VINTAGE CHEROKEE DOLL, OLD FOLK ART DOLL ~SIGNED~ RARE~
You looking at an Older RARE Cherokee doll that is all hand painted, Carved out of wood like the older Kachina dolls were. This nice and rare piece is out of the Estate of Bob Davis " Indian Bob" of Oklahoma City. This is the only one that I have had like her in all the years that I have been collecting... She even had jonited movable arms.. RARE!!! It is an outstanding signed all wood hand carved Indian doll with a turquoise necklace on. Sh e is outstanding quality ...I also have her mate listed in another auction as shown on the last two pictures.. She measures a nice large size of 9.5 inches tall and 3 inches wide. She is like the old Hopi Kachina dolls but is a Cherokee Wolf Creek doll signed by "Leona Mitchell" .. She has beautiful details. . As you can see from the pictures, she is outstanding. She is carved and very detailed tooling out of what looks like cottonwood root but not sure what kind of wood it really is. She has been carefully hand painted with traditional (pre-acrylic) pigments by a master craftsman..... She is in wonderful condition and has wonderful patina. . She is much nicer in person then the pictures.. . NO RESERVES . Please look at her mate.. Some pictures are with flash and some without.. You will not be disappointed in this rare find.. She would make a great gift or addition to any Native American Indian or Pueblo collection... MY LOW STARTING PRICE DOES NOT REFLECT THE VALUE OF THIS PIECE. WORTH A LOT MORE THEN MY STARTING PRICE..
