Here is an absolutely beautiful long flapper type of necklace with Cherry Amber Bakelite beads. It looks even better when held up to the light. They are round and translucent. The diameter of the beads is approximately one half inch. In between each Bakelite bead are two small beads that look like glass (some with the covering off to reveal a white bead). I have tested the beads with a jeweler's testing pad and it tests positive for Bakelite (it's also used for buttons and it's not supposed to leave a residue). Unless I miscounted there are 66, possibly 67, beads. It hangs down about 22". I do not see any chips or cracks. It does look like it has been restrung with a fishing line type of material.
