CHICAGOLAND TOKENS Lot * Vintage Chicago Transit Authority CTA Surface System brass token was used on buses and the elevated trains 'L' back in the 90s. Measures about the size of a dime. * Goldblatt’s 30¢ Auto World Refund on car wash with purchase plan. Goldblatt’s went out of business around 2000. Measures about the size of the new dollar coins. * Big Boy America’s Favorite Hamburger (side 2=Tops Car Space) I believe this token to be from the 60s/70s. Measures about the size of a nickel. There is only one Big Boy location left in Illinois. Most are located in Michigan and California with only a few left in some states. *Denny’s Dough One Dollar good only on food items at participating Denny’s. (Looks like a grumpy old lady on one side and a smiling old lady on the other.) Measures about 1-1/4” around *Token for 1 free game from “H” and honestly don’t remember this one at all. Measures about the size of a nickel. *Lastly there is the infamous wooden nickel “Round Tuit” from Sir Speedy Printing, Villa Park, IL back in the 70’s. May show some wear as many liked to carry around to show they already have a round to it! All of these have been circulated and some could use a better cleaning than others.
