This is a fantastic collection of Childcraft books--Field Enterprises, Inc. Chicago. 1954. The books have beautiful color and black and white illustrations and are still wonderful to read and enjoy. There's poetry, folk tales, reproductions of famous art, music, directions for building bird houses, and much, much more! Vintage yet still relevant! These books are from the original, non-smoking home. They have been stored in a rarely used closet for at least the last 30 years. A couple of them show minor shelf wear, a few bumped spines and corners, and some rubbed places on the covers-- all understandable for 60-year-old books! See photos. Four have a name written on either the cover and/or inside page (volumes 1, 3, 6, and 10). No other writing can be found in the books. Pages are intact and free from major tears. (I found one or two pages with shelf-related tears less than 1/4.") Spines and bindings are tight and pages are smooth and crisp. There are a few pages with age-related gentle wrinkles. The color is still great. Please see photos. I have tried to look these over very carefully and be overly critical. The imperfections are age-related. These books are awesome!
