Southwest weavers quit using the nohoki as it became identified with the swastika, and it now identifies a piece as pre WW2!

Not Native American, but Hispanic, Chimayo rugs are hand woven in the Chimayo, New Mexico region.

New Mexico was Spanish territory when Hispanic settlers began homesteading the beautiful Sangre de Cristo range.

By the 1600's, weavers had gatd in and around Chimayo, beginning the Southwest weaving traditions that inspired the Navajo to weave.

Chimayos are hard to find compared to Navajo and Saltillos!

Super Southwestern and Indian Themes make these coveted and highly collectible!

Current retail value of a newly woven Chimayo of this size is $750.00, check online.

Highly desired Southwestern colors and Indian themes!
