I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an "as found" condition. I do no repairs, alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere, I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. Because books are paper they do absorb the odors around them and some books may have an old book odor. DESCRIPTION: The double handle is pretty worn on this old piece. It's cloth wrapped wire and the wire is a bit unusual being square in shape and looks like it may have been hand pounded wire. The wire goes into two holes on each side and has been re-tied into just one hole on one side. There is no damage in that area but it probably got a little loose and the problem was solved in that manner. The upper rim of the teapot has an obvious chip (see last photo) and there is also a much smaller one. The wear to the graphics is light and the colors are excellent. The teapot is about 4 5/8" in height. I think this is a very old piece. There is a $1.50 handling charge included in the shipping charges for domestic shipping.
