Vintage Chinese Dark Green Majolica Pottery Planter Bowl w/ Solid Rosewood Base Lovely Shape w/ Stunning Colorful Glazes! Design : You are bidding on a lovely and vintage Chinese, dark green majolica pottery planter or bowl, complete with a large and solid, Rosewood display base. Bowl features a lovely hand-painted and hand-embossed, textured design throughout the piece, with much gilding and "earth-tone" colored glazes utilized. Rim of the bowl is finished in corresponding, textured design and rich glazes/gilding. Rosewood base appears to be hand-crafted and carved in a simplistic, yet ornate design. Stain is best described as a "Medium Cherry". Lovely retro, 2pc set that will look great on a table, or sitting next to a fireplace! Vintage : c.1970s-80s. Measurements : Bowl alone is 7.5" in overall height, and is 8.25" at its widest diameter, with a 5.5" base diameter --- Rosewood stand is 6" in overall height, and is 9.75" at its widest diameter, with a 5.5" well diameter --- When planter is placed atop stand, overall height of the two pieces together will measure 13.5" in overall height. Hallmarks : Base of planter stamped with small maker's hallmark within the center in red, along with the "warning" regarding use of this product in terms of food preparation or consumption.
