FYI: I'm the Ultimate Recycler, saving unique and possibly valuable pieces from going into landfills. Great at finding New Homes for other people's stuff. While we have more stuff then we know what to do with, from buying out the complete contents of estates. My husband and myself, just can not, help ourselves, we still go to every interesting, yard sale, flea market, estate auctions and tag sales we can. We spend hours, going through different sources, looking high and low for treasures that we like and you folks may have interest in. Since I sold the shop and moved all the inventory home, my house has become a disaster. I have been trying to sort threw all the stuff, Even when, having a three day yard/garage sale each month over the summer does not help. That can be difficult when one is disabled with back problems. He had been sitting around my shop, not getting noticed since then. I hope he finds a Good Home that will enjoy his presents, as much as I have. Now I'm not to knowledgeable about Chinese Porcelain but I'll try my best to describe this. This auction is for a WONDERFUL Vintage early 1900s, Chinese Porcelain Happy/Laughing Buddha with open mouth. Statue wearing Brightly colored garments with impressed all over design. I think they call this type of decoration Famille Rose. He is not marked and could have been brought to US as a souvenir of trip to Asia . He is in GREAT condition for its age, only displayed. NO chips, NO cracks, NO nicks, NO repairs, NO crazing, but has normal production imperfections, dimples in the glaze and glazed over holes in nostrils and ears, glaze/paint skips along back bottom edge. T is also a tiny spot of wall paint on his back side. It measures approx. 3 ¼" high and 2 ¾" x 3" across bottom. Any further information or question are welcomed and will be shared.
