Hi everybody! Gungirly's auctions have changed just a little bit so please read the fine print. I'm ending the summer with a BANG & have LOTS of wonderful goodies to list! Offered for auction is a finely crafted vintage silver filigree figural spider brooch / pin. These pieces are unmarked but I believe they are early Chinese / China. This lovely brooch dates to the early late 1800s to early 1900s. Spiders were considered a symbol of good luck / lucky and a popular motif in jewelry. This brooch / pin is in very good vintage condition with no damage. The brooch measures 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" wide and fastens with an old "C" clasp. It would look GREAT mounted on a black velvet choker and worn as a necklace. Lovely old patina consistent with sterling silver. Whether you want something special to wear for Halloween or you want a fabulous piece for your collection .... these pieces are GREAT and hard to find!
