This is the loveliest jade tree I've ever seen - the colours are soft, muted and harmonious, and the stone fruit moves from a soft celadon green into a rose pink (the fruit is rather on the massive size for a jade tree). Notice how realistic the fruit is, including even smaller, unripened green plums. This tree probably dates to the 1960's or 70s - I think the older ones are much more beautiful than the new ones being made, which seem to all have a shiny glaze - this one has almost a matte finish on all the beautiful stone. Notice the fantastic stone used for the planter - it is gorgeous! Unfortunately t has been some damage over the years - six out of the twenty eight leaves have their tips broken off. The good news is that this is hardly noticeable, and since you can bend the leaves and stems as you like, it is easy to hide the damage.
