This Chinese terracotta teapot with lid has beenbeautifully moulded into a pine tree truck, with lovely bark detailing; the handles of the teapot and lid are branches ending with pine cones and needles. It has a square 4 character seal mark impressed to the base [difficult to photo, see insert], also a smaller faint impressed mark to the inside of lid; I have no knowledge of the marks so am unable to date it. The teapot and lid are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration; measures 95mm high, 190mm long across spout and handle.
