Offering up a vintage (1940/50's) Japan-made cardboard mica-covered house for Christmas Village or Putz scene. The base is 6.0" wide, 3.5" deep and stands 4.25" tall. Base has shades of turquoise along bottom edge and on middle part of cardboard fence. Behind fence on right side is a sprig of moss-like tree. House is shades of orange and purple highlighted with snow; top edge of roof has a zig-zag line of red. Small bisque Santa stands in the yard; he is with a small yellow deer; some paint missing on figure. Two red cellophane windows have cracks; third one is missing (I compensated by using a RED lamp to light the house). Hole in back for light; previous owner (for reasons unknown) extended the hole by cutting cardboard down to the base; this is not visible from front of house. He/she also cut a 2.0" hole in the base (which actually helps insert a light by just sitting the house down on the light, instead of through the back); this is also not visible from any angle (except by picking up the house and seeing the bottom). Overall condition is a bit dusty but character and architecture of house is exceptional and the buildings with bisque figures in the yard are VERY hard to find. Great addition to your growing Christmas Village. Thanks for looking; be sure to check out my other items. E-BAY FINE PRINT: Thank you for participating read more
