Vintage Clothespin Bag & Clothespins. I know, it looks like a dress, but its NOT! This is a very old clothespin bag in the form of a child's dress; isn't it darling? It was hanging in a basement laundry room when I found it at a recent estate sale. It was quite yellowed, soiled, and smelly! I did launder it, and though it is faded in some spots, it is just soooo very cute! A hard to find type of item since most of these old cloth clothespin bags were just discarded when they started to wear out. You also get a pack of the old clothespins that were inside this bag; they feature red painted tops. These predate the ones my mother used back in the 50's; and they might even be considered antique. You also get the cute metal hanger I picked up somewhere in my travels; it is not vintage, but looks great with this item, don't you agree? You won't see too many of these around anymore! (My adult children were stumped as to what this was! They had never even heard of a 'clothespin bag' before!)
