Vintage Cold War Era EDI Spy Recorder w Mics + Tape! Description :This listing is for a vintage cold war era EDI Spy Recorder with hidden dual microphones, and one unused very rare tape to go with it. This is the type of recorder the CIA used during the cold war for spying on people and recording conversations. They would attach this recorder under tables and such, and then place the mic near the edge. The unit is very small for recorders at the time, and measures 5" x 2 3/4" x 1" high. A photo is included of the battery compartment. The unit is untested as I do not have batteries for it. Visually it appears in good condition. T is a tape that looks like it was already used inside the recorder as well. I do not know the condition of this tape or if it has recorded information on it or not. Could be almost anything. Additionally, two empty reels and some type of extender cord is included. The only issue I see is that one of the dual mics is missing part of the outer cover, (perhaps they were trying to fit it into something smaller?), and it has a loose wire connection on one terminal. This could easily be soldered back on. Don't miss this chance! Also, we are also listing a listening headset that works for this unit in another auction.
