This 11" RARE Bobbie Mae, Swing & Sway is Adorable--Will steal your Heart! Vintage, late 1920's or 30'sInspired by Sammy Kaye and His Orchestra All composition body, painted compo (wood pulp) Pat. Pending on inside, TLC for back damage This little gal is such a cutie.....this is an original "Bobbie-Mae" Swing & Sway doll--inspired by the Sammy Kaye orchestra. She is TLC--but even with flaws, she is really cute to display on a shelf as is. She is nearly all original paint, but I think her feet were repainted decades ago and covered the original label that you can feel is still there under the paint. I am not sure about the eyes---if they were repainted, that too was done decades ago. The major flaw is the chunk missing out of the back of the skirt--please see pictures. Also, some old gray paint or something dribbled from the inside of the head--again decades ago-- and that too shows in the picutres on both the front collar of the dress and the back (it may come off with a little work). These are getting VERY rare to find in any condition. A great little treasure for your collection. This little sweetie is a real keeper. No odors--and I am a non-smoking home.
