This item is a vntage miner's carbide lamp manufactured by the Universal Lamp Co.. The lamp has a small reflector and is lit with a flint similar to lighting a cigarette lighter. The carbide fuel is regulated by a valve on the top of lamp. The lamp appears to be manufactured in copper. This item includes the original box which is readable but heavily taped The lamp reflector is approximately 3" in diameter. The lamp is approximately 4" tall. It has a rubber base to reduce wear on the bottom of the lamp. The lamp is in good condition but shows significant use. The reflector has damage from heat. The controls work fine.
