This lovely unique goldtone flower pin by Boucher is very similar to one in Carroll's book, except this one has no leaves and is a bit smaller. It has the MB mark with the Phrygian cap which resembles a bird and is marked PAT PEND. This mark was used from 1937 to 1949 and this piece was probably made in 1948, perhaps earlier. Boucher jewelry is well known for its high quality. The company was sold about 1972. The filaments of the flower have rhinestones and t is a faux pearl in the center. The petals open and close. The pin is 1 1/2" x 2 1/4". (Pictures do not show actual size.) T are wear marks on the backs of the petals. This is a special pin to add to your collection!I have been informed by a friendly eBayer that this is called a "Day And Night" pin. Wear it more casual or conservative for day and wear it with more glitz for nights! As with most vintage items this piece has been gently used and may or may not show signs of normal wear, which can add to its charm. Although I try to describe this accurately, I may miss something, such as a bit of wear, when describing it.It can be shipped for $1.12 first class, including handling. Because of its delicate construction it will be shipped in a box. Purchases usually arrive a few days after payment is received, except items are held until check clears before shipping. I combine shipping for multiple items to save on postage. Please let me know if you are bidding on more than one of my auctions and I will hold your won item until the other items of mine you are bidding on have ended and will ship everything together.Check out my other items !
