This heavy brass or bronze medallion was issued by the St. Louis Southwestern Railway in the late 1940s. The raised design shows a locomotive surrounded by a streak of lightning and the words “Blue Streak” and “Fast Freight”, a shield that says “Cotton Belt Route”, and cotton bolls along the lower edge. Around the perimeter it says “St. Louis Southwestern Railway Lines in raised letters. Approx 2-7/8” in diameter. Very good condition – no damage or corrosion on the front, there’s a little wear on the back. Makes an interesting paperweight. Questions? Don't hesitate to contact us!
