You are looking at a very nice Cox Meyer's Manx purple metalflake Dune Buggy . This rarer purple version of the buggy is powered by a Cox .049 pull-start engine. This is a beautiful example of a fully functional Cox Dune Buggy that not only looks really good, but runs! All parts are present and function properly. The original Cox tires are soft and flexible. Most of the chrome parts look almost new, and some look good/fair. All of the plastic trim parts are present and in good condition overall. This is an excellent buggy to run or put on display with your collection. The body has a very nice shine and appears to be in excellent condition looking almost new overall. The body hinges are good and in tact. The chassis looks good. The motor virtually looks and runs like new. The pull start, needle valve, and throttle adjustment all function as they should. This buggy was obviously not played with very much. This example is not just the typical "shelf queen", but one that can be run if you choose to do so. You won't find many that are much nicer than this one. All items shown in the photos...including a Cox glow plug clip, two Cox wrenches, a copy of the instruction manuals will be included in this auction. The original box is not included.
