Wow, what a gorgeous rosary! This is a beautiful rosary I purchased at an estate sale in the 1980s. I do not know the actual age of the rosary, but from rosaries I've seen I would say it was produced during the 1940s or 50s. The crucifix is marked on the back, "Creed Sterling" and the center medallion is marked on the back "Sterling." I am almost certain the links and the caps on the pater beads are also sterling. It has a hanging length of 22" with strong links and no missing beads, and weighs approximately 40 grams. As you can see in the photo, the face of the crucifix is stunning and highly detailed, with very minimal devotional wear and only slight tarnishing. Two different shapes of beads make up the rosary: the pater beads are larger round faceted amethyst glass (or crystal) with a decorative silver cap on each end; all the other beads are a faceted diamond shape. It is in very good to excellent condition and I cannot see any chips or damage to the beads. If I can provide you with more details or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me before bidding. I am to help and would like you to be comfortable with your bid and purchase. I try to describe each item very thoroughly. So, unless an item has been grossly misrepresented, all sales are final. If you have time, please check out the other auctions I have read more
