Having spent the summer 'Behind the Back of God', exploring the dusty roads of rustic and extremely religious rural Quebec ...the Lower St.Lawrence..settled by French,English...Irish and Scots.........Saint Apollinaire..Saint Agapit..Saint Etienne-de-Lauzon...Saint-George-de-Beauce...Saint-Ephrem-de-Tring..Saint-Leon-de-Standon...Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague...Each and every town with a Church or a seminary or convent....long left behind for Life in the Big City .

It is that I have found a wealth of religious artefacts..authentic...pristine..until recently an integral part of daily life. From homes and churches...from priests and nuns...icons of their devotion and Faith.

You are invited to bid on a vintage BRONZE Crucifix ,that was recently recovered from an estate sale of a Hermitage in rural Quebec .

This is a beautiful bronze Cross with a massive brass figure of Christ.The Crucifix measures 13" long and 7.75" wide.The figure of Christ is almost 9" long, and almost fills the full Cross. In it's simplicity, t is only the Body of Christ, with downturned face.The figure is a solid casting,as is the Cross, making a very heavy piece, weighing almost 3 lbs.
