You are bidding on a pair of old ceiling fixtures, metal and cut crystal. The fixtures are stamped Portugal, I'm assuming that the glass came from the same region, possibly Italy. Overall they are in fine condition although the globes have a few chips or 'shell's on the wide top rim w the globe meets the fitting. These detractions, and t's very few, completely disappear when the globe is attached. The cutting is fantastic and the glass, nearly 1/2" thick! Reminds me of the quality cuttings from the American Brilliant period. Came from an estate w the daughter always recalled seeing one of them hanging in the hallway and the other upside down in a glass bowl, being used as a table lamp. One has a turn knob installed and the metal has not oxidixed beneath as the much as the other, it was most likely the converted table lamp. Absolutely lovely fixtures and guessing from the age of the house and daughter, these were probably purchased and installed soon after WWII, maybe as late as 1950. Both are approximately 11" tall with a 5 1/2" ceiling plate. Dual sockets, which both appear to have been replaced in the past and a bowl that's approximately 8" in diameter and 4" deep. Although listed as shipping USPS priority mail, I can ship via FEDEX at the buyer's request and same a considerable amount of money in shipping costs. Go to and ship read more
