This is an extraordinary piece of the finest quality and workmanship Very heavy cut glass barrel style jar with lid. Incredible sparkle in the light, and rings like a bell. Stands about 9.5" tall to the top of the handle, 6 3/8" in diameter. It is heavy and weighs almost 8 lbs. The glass is over 1/4" thick. It is deeply cut all the way around with a beautiful swirling leaf, or fern, pattern that refracts the light dramatically. The top fits nicely, and has a faceted ball handle. The top of the lid is also cut in the fern pattern. The bottom is cut is a starburst pattern with long cuts radiatiing out from the center. It is umarked, but obviously of extremely high quality, and from the best of manufacturers. Condition is perfect, as close to mint as possible. This is a very fine piece, suitable for a wedding gift.
