Up for bid is a beautiful work of cut glass. I purchased this at an estate sale and was told it is possibly considered "American Brilliant Cut Glass". I am not a glass expert but after doing some research i found a pattern called "Napoleon" by Higgins & Seiter American Brilliant Cut Glass producers that i feel this decanter/cruet strongly resembles. I could not find any signature or markings on this piece. This decanter/cruet is in very good condition. The stopper has a chip at it's base which does not affect it's use (as shown in picture). T is a couple of small surface chips/abrasions on one side which are not noticeable and by all means do not take away from the beauty of this piece. This is a beautiful piece of cut glass and truly a fine work of art. The stopper appears diamond cut, while the bas e shares hobstars with flower like cuts and fan like designs. The handle has small "thumbprint or circle indents" while the neck has "saw" like marks. This piece is is totally clear with no cloudiness. The measurements of this piece is 10 1/4" high (with stopper in) and approx. 5 1/4" wide (at widest point) Please ask any questions prior to bidding and i will try to answer to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking!!
