A lady without j ew el s is like a night without stars ... and I quote ... Srdechne vitam!!! Those aren't cuss words, I promise : ) Are you a princess? Then THIS necklace is for you!! Stunning Art Nouveau / Deco emerald green glass necklace. The color of this glass is a sock popper! It's most likely Czech in origin. The cut of the stones is awesome . Each one has 20 facets on top which cause these babies to really sizzle! Ok, I admit it. I'm a pushover for the romantic pieces. I always buy vintage jewelry that, as a man, I enjoy seeing women wear. Timeless pieces for women of all ages. The filigree style open setting is highly detailed and finely crafted. The necklace measures 15 1/2" end to end. Each section with a stone measures 1" x 3/4". The metal is silver in color and has a warm uniform vintage appearance. I don't really see evidence of gilt, so it may be sterling. Clasp is an early donut (glazed) spring ring. Overall condition is excellent! I would place this piece around the 1920's. It's Art Deco, but also has fine Nouveau lines as well. In keeping with the spirit and fun of a true auction, this is being offered with NO RESERVE. Thanks for looking!
