If you watch my auctions, you know that I specialize in old Victorian / Edwardian Czech jewelry, old art glass & fine enamel jewelry. Also, any jewelry that is larger than life, unusual or not quite the norm. I work hard to bring you only the best. So enjoy! Offered for auction is a vintage, early 1900s ornate Czechoslovakia / Bohemian Peking Glass Dragon Egg necklace. This is a lovely old necklace, quite ornate with silver filigree bead caps and two dragons entwined protectively over a peking glass cabochon along with oval plaques with Chinese / Oriental writing. This is a very old necklace and is not marked. It dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s and almost has an Arts & Crafts feel to it with the hammered silver background on the pendant. The finish is silver over brass and the piece does show some wear to the silver plating. It is most noticable on the last two ornate pieces one each side at the back of the necklace closest to the clasp so when the necklace is worn this is not readily noticable. T is some other very small areas thru out the necklace but again, nothing readily noticable. Otherwise the necklace is perfect, no chips to the glass. It measures 8 1/2" down each side for a total of 17 1/2" total around. The dragon pendant measures a tad over 1 5/8" across by 1" wide.
