Up for auction is a RARE Vintage Czech MRAZEK Peasant Art Pottery Tea Set or Demitasse Set It includes 13 pieces including two lids. The pieces include teapot and lid, creamer, sugar bowl and lid, four cups, four saucers. The pottery was believed to have been made sometime between 1917 and 1930. It is known as Moravian Pottery from Latice, Moravia. The pottery design is the traditional MRAZEK design of flowers done in bright colors. It has the classic Czech Glaze. The Blue stamped mark for Peasant Pottery is on the underside of some pieces. Also some pieces have the incised mark on the underside. For example, the sugar bowl has No. 278 incised on the bottom. The Tea pot with lid is approximately 6 inches tall (measuring to top of knob on lid). The Creamer is approximately 2 3/4 inches tall. The cup is approximtely 1 3/4 inches tall. This pottery was hand made so t will be minor manufacturing flaws Which collectors think adds charm to the pottery. The only flaw I detected was a hairline crack on the underside of the sugar bowl. Also, the inside of the sugar bowl is rough which was the way it was made. This is a rare opportunity to own an entire TEA SET of Peasant Art Pottery by MRAZEK! The cost of shipping will be determined after closing. Please note: The shipping will be costly as even though these items are smaller, read more
