This shade is for a hanging lamp and measures 12 inches across with a back rim opening of 10 inches across from outer edge to outer edge. It does not have the fittings. The piece is in a turban or flying saucer shape. The center has a frosted white center knob surrounded by a handpainted sailboat and shore scene which is on clear glass. The forest and mountains surround that on a carnival or iridized background.. It is very colorful when held to natural light, yet has a soft iridescent glow indoors. The photos were taken outdoors. The predominant colors are blue, green, white, and marigold carnival. The inside is not iridized. T is an old sticker inside stamped with a lion and Made in Czecho-Slovakia. I would guess this shade is from the 1920's-1930's and is in pretty good condition with the exception of two rim chips w the fittings would go, each of these is 1/8 inch. T are also a couple of areas on the flat part of the rim that have finishing or tool marks that are nearly flat. The painting and background are all good, no scratches. T are a few interior bubbles and it could use a gentle cleaning.
