Vintage Danish Modern Mid Century Nesting Table Eames This listing for a three-in-one set of wood nesting tables, with Danish Modern styling that easily tells us from whence they came!! My research provided the closest match to be a set of Hans Wegner nesting tables, although I am not representing these as such, just providing the information. The largest table has a tag that reads "Stateroom, Produced by Stonehill Furniture, Limited", which I believe is an English or UK company. I purchased them at one of the many European shipment/container sales that I regularly attend. All three nesting tables have tapered edge tops and arched side panels/legs. The tables "nest" or slide underneath one another when not used, and for additional table surface, they can be slide out, and all three function as independent tables. They have a beautiful light oak patina, with very very nice visible wood grain - I assume they are oak and oak veneer, although many items in this style were teak, and I suppose that is possible as well. The largest table is 20 ¼"H x 20 ½"across the front x 18 ¾" deep; the middle table is 19"H x 17 7/8"across the front x 17" deep; the smaller table is 17 ¾"H x 15 3/8"across the front x 15" deep. The tables are in good condition for their age, structurally sound, no breaks or repairs, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections. As often happens in these nesting tables, the smallest table does have a rubbed or dented spot (quarter size) on the top, w it has rubbed against the middle table when they were being pushed together over the years..........Doesn't harm the beauty or functionality of the table, but simply described for disclosure purposes. Please always keep in mind antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character.
