I just bought this Sasha doll at an estate auction and I confess that although many years ago I used collect Sashas, I don't any longer and I am embarrassed to admit that I don't remember much about these dolls now. I do know that this one is one of the earlier ones. I believe these dolls were made either in the late 60's or early 70's. She is in played in condition but she is clean. Her hair has suffered a bit from being combed by over-zelous mommy and so she has a few thinning plugs on the top of her head, which are concealed nicely by a homemade crocheted beret, but the back of her hair is quite thick, but perhaps a little matted. I'm sure it can be washed and coaxed into looking beautiful once again. The doll is marked on the back Sasha Serie and she does have her little round tag, which came in a tiny plastic bag. She has what looks like her original dark blue and white check dress, undies and white shoes. Her stringing could be a bit tighter but she can be posed and her arms stay in an upright position. She has no odors and and dings or scratches. I think a loving cleaning will restore her nicely. If you collect Sasha dolls she is nice early addition to your collection.
