Beautiful vintage Philco wooden tube radio. This is a terrific Deco design, with the rounded speaker grill and left side of the cabinet balanced by the round gold and black dial with it's beautiful black and red lettered dial face with knobs below. The really stunning feature is the group of three louvers that cross the bottom half of the speaker opening with lighter-colored wood inlays that extend all the way across the front of the cabinet.The model number is 10T, and the manufacture was 1938. In my reference book, this model is referred to as "The Bullit". The case measures 17 x 11 x 9.The case is in good condition. T are a couple of marks on the front that look like slight gouges that were stained to match the original finish. The triangular piece of wood on the left side appears to have had a crack that was glued, and the back of the left side has a small chip missing. The top and sides appear to have had a coat of finish (polyurethane or some such) applied poorly, as t are several drip marks apparent. One of the knobs is missing. All that being said, I am sure some careful work could bring this beauty back to a real showcase item.This electrical cord has been cut off, so I have no idea whether or not this radio works.
