We sell only vintage fixtures, never reproductions. More often than not when we get an old vintage fixture, the finish is worn beyond repair and parts are missing. We will always use the "leave it alone" policy when we can, but sometimes it is necessary to "touch up", or even do a full restoration to bring back the beauty of these classic fixtures. Also, we use only vintage replacement parts. No reproduction canopies or chain for our lights! Satisfaction . We do not offer a return policy, but if you feel you were mislead by our listing, say the light you received was purple and it was listed as gold, we will offer a refund if you return the fixture within 7 days of receiving it, (minus shipping costs). Realistic starting bid . Let's be honest, anyone who lists on ebay is trying to make money, but we feel that starting the listing too high will only scare off potential buyers. If you have any doubts, just check out our feedback! Now... on with the listing!! "Art Meets Function" This is one chandelier you will not want to miss; truly a fantastic work of art! Art deco / Victorian cast ceiling light has been completely restored in a rich polychrome finish. This fixture came to us in very good condition. The prior owner had completely removed any finish, so we started with a "clean palate". (What a nice guy!) Classic Victorian features, coupled with slight hints of the art deco period, is the only way to describe this piece. From its ornate ceiling cap, down to the fancy socket bells and finial, this is an incredible work of art! This is one of the most intricate fixtures we have ever done. Many hours of work went into this artistic fixture. To begin, it was given a lovely base coat of antique gold ; followed by burnished copper , silver , light blue , leaf green , rich burgundy , and dark gold were then added to complete the polychrome finish. Lastly, the fixture was given a hand applied patina to complete the vintage look, and a light coat of lacquer was applied to keep the colors rich and bright for years to come. Light measures 17" in diameter and will hang 31" to bottom tip of Victorian finial. Fixture has been completely re-wired with it's original Bryant sockets, and is ready to hang with vintage mounting hardware. We always use new 'old stock' wire w wires are exposed, to keep the vintage look. Also, all wire connections are soldered for safety.
