This is a very nice old Knights of Pythias sword and metal scabbard. The sword is approximately 34 1/2" long with a 27" long blade. The extensively decorated blade is in very nice shape with a gold wash background. The blade is marked HORSTMANN BROS. PHILA., PA. . The handle is also in very good shape with no chips or cracks but there is plate loss to the guard and pommel. The chain guard is still attached and in good shape. The sword is very tight with no looseness. The decorative metal scabbard is included and is in very good shape with no dents or dings but there are scratches and plate loss. There is also some rust on the backside of the scabbard.
