This is a Barbie Dream Kitchen set. It was an awesome addition for a Barbie household for the time period it came out - I think sometime early to mid 1960's! This set was so neat - lots of working pieces! The fridge shelves opened out, the dishwasher could have running water and you could see the "dishes" being washed, the faucet actually moved from one side to the other in the sink, and it could be set up to actually run water! I think the stove was my favorite though - the "burners" would light up when turned on and the oven had a turkey in it that would actually rotate. It was a very neat "Barbie furniture set" - these days, those kinds of toys might be common, but I don't think they were so much back then. Move forward to present day ... this wonderful set isn't in quite as neat of shape as it used to be. It is tarnished here and there, the tubing that helps make the magic work for the running water on the dishwasher and the sink is either old, cracked or just plain missing. The stove ran on batteries - it isn't working, possibly a short somewhere??? If buyer intends to give this to children, suggest you disable the motor totally, or have it overhauled to get it working again first.
