Beautifull Chichimeca Indian embroidery on a hand woven, jacket/vest/poncho. This garment has the attributes of all the above. Wearable Folk Art, very ornate, and detailed, with yarn crossstitch, in bright colors. This garment measures 26 inches long, 52 inches around the chest, all the way down to the hem. and the sleeve inseam is 6 inches. In good condition, no holes, no stains. I understand Frieda Kahlo wore these over her dresses, and skirts, belted at the waist. This is a piece of wearable art from the Indians of Mexico, whose work is becoming more recognized and important in these modern times. Thanks for shopping in the land of Enchantment!
