VINTAGE Designer IVORY NECKLACE w/ Disc&Round Beads 16" ALL OF OUR IVORY PRODUCTS ARE PRE-BAN ELEPHANT TUSK IVORY! A beautiful genuine elephant tusk ivory necklace with mass appeal! This necklace was made back in the 50's but restrung again recently with double silk thread and knotted in between each ivory bead. The growth patterns are readily visible throughout the ivory necklace. The necklace measures about 16 inches long and it is graduated. The disc ivory beads start at 12mm with a 4mm round ivory bead perfectly fitting in the center. They gradually get larger to a 20mm disc ivory bead and with a 8mm round ivory bead in the center. The ivory necklace is a warm patina finish and the necklace weights 18.2 grams. The hand-carved ivory clasp is fully functional. And don't forget, since the ban on new Ivories during the late 80's, Ivory is a non-replenishable material, so what currently exists is all t is---and is exactly why vintage and antique Ivory is so valuable today !!
