Great old Dexter fully forged carbon steel chef knife, blade is 9 1/2" long and the overall length is 15". This knife has been sharpened a bit, when I found it it had a bit of a hollow from steeling and I straightened it out and gave it a new edge finishing with a 4000 grit Japanese stone and a strop, it is sharp to say the least, the steel in these old Dexters is fabulous, it takes a razor sharp edge and holds it nicely. This knife has some light pits and pepper spots with a nice grey patina, it has been around the block a few times but has been treated well, no abusive treatment or sharpenings with a bench grinder. The handle is triple riveted hardwood over a sharply tapered tang smoothed by the decades and very comfortable. The balance on this knife is right w is should be, you might be disappointed when its time to stop chopping. Comes very sharp.No sales to minors. Please ask any questions prior to buying.
