Vintage Dietz Kerosene Road Torch Flare # 750 Smudge Pot

is an old kerosene Dietz road torch or flare. These were use by highway departments, construction crews, wreckers, etc., before the invention of portable battery powered warning lights. These were common from the teens through the 1950s. I do not know the date on this, but I would estimate 1930s. T are scratches to the paint, and one small dent on the bottom portion. Not bad though. This has been used, and shows normal signs of wear. This has the wick. Overall, it is in very good condition. This is all made of metal, and heavy. Looks like a bomb from an old movie or cartoon.

This would all clean up nicely and would look great restored!

This measures about 8 inches tall, and 7.75 inches in diameter. It is marked "Dietz Torch Made In USA Use Kerosene Only", and on the top "Dietz No. 750-751".

I have two other similar vintage road flares listed, so check them out and save on the shipping.
