His estate represents 60 years of collecting and has since been in storage for an additional 20 years. The family hopes that once again these treasures will provide an enthusiast the pleasures he derived over these many years while collecting. Up for auction is a beautiful antique DIETZ KING FIRE DEPT. KEROSENE LANTERN. This lantern was made in the early 1900s. It has a nice brass handle and a copper base. This beauty would make a wonderful addition to your collection. It is in very good condition considering the age. This lantern measures 19-1/2 inches in height from the base to the handle, 9 inches wide and 7 inches in depth and weighs approx. 5 lbs. before packing for shipping.
