Structurally this lantern is sound. T is surface rust on the upper part of the lamp but nothing rusted thru. The base is nickel and should shine up nicely. The cage hinges work well and the cage opens to clean the globe. The red globe has no cracks but does have some minor chips around the inner edges mostly. It says Dietz Fitzall NY USA and C+2 Loc-Nod Pat. 12-4-23. The base has one minor dent on the bottom rim and says Dietz King and Fire Dept. The handle has a nickel hand grab. The lantern will need to be cleaned up and repainted. The lamp stands approx. 18 1/2" tall. Should be a nice lantern once restored.
