Vintage Railroad Lantern Wow! This auction is for one of several great vintage railroad lanterns I have listed this week. This particular one is a Dietz Vesta lantern that has a silver finish and clear globe with embossed printing that reads NYNH&H (New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad). The bottom of the lantern is unmarked. The top of the lantern is embossed with the patent date 1920 - it does not have a railroad designation on the actual lamp. It measures about 10" tall without the bail handle at the top. The lantern is in found-in condition and needs a good cleaning. It was used and has some wear, but is a nice piece regardless. More about this piece: This auction and all the other railroad related items I have listed this week are from a single estate of a lifelong railroad collector and employee.
