AN ADVENTURE IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM was a 1958 Television Special featuring a tour of Disneyland along with the Disney Studio Party Day Guests - Synopsis includes: Walt Disney introduces Tinker Bell who is special hostess for the Disneyland tour; We fly with Tink over the Disney Studios and high above the L.A. Freeways to Disneyland with an aerial tour of Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Frontierland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland; Landing at Holidayland, the Studio Party youngsters participate in a potato derby and pie eating contest; Entertainment in Holidayland's Big Top includes view of Mouseketeers Bobby Burgess and Sharon Baird dancing on stage; Disneyland Hotel pool scene with the many guests; Guests take the hotel tram to the entrance of Disneyland; Entering Main Street U.S.A.,we hear the reading of the "Disneyland Is Your Land" Plaque; Ride down Main Street in a Horse Drawn Street Car with views of other Disneyland Vehicles, Shops, Arcade and Red Wagon Inn; Views of entrances to all the Lands from Disneyland's Hub; Entering Adventureland, we pass by the Adventureland Bazaar and board one of the Jungle Cruise Boats for a near complete tour of the ride; The Frontierland Sheriff shows bad guy Black Bart who's the boss; Inside the Golden Horseshoe Revue with Betty Taylor, Wally Boag and Dancers; The Many Tribes of Indian Village dance together, young and old; Two comical Mexican Guitar Players and Female Dancer entertain in front of the Casa de Fritos Restaurant; Boarding Rainbow Caverns Mine Train, we see views of the Pack Mules, Stagecoach, Cactus Characters, Balancing Rocks and Desert Animals as well as the Elaborate Waterfalls inside Rainbow Caverns; Santa Fe and Disneyland Train Ride thru Frontierland with views of Indian Village, Indian War Canoes, Animatronic Indian Figures and the Burning Settler's Cabin and Catffish Cove; Ride aboard the Mark Twain Steamboat along with the Disneyland Band; Board the Huck Finn Rafts to Tom Sawyer Island for views of the Corn Mill, Secret Tree House, Suspended and Pontoon Bridges, Guests Fishing, Injun Joe Cave, the Natural Arch Bridge, Teeter Totter and Merry Go Round Rocks, and Castle Rock; The Studio Party attends Fort Wilderness to see a fight between the Indians and Calvary; Entering Tomorrowland, we see the Clock of the World, Disneyland Flight Center, Autopia, Midget Autopia, Astrojets, TWA Rocket and Phantom Boats; Tour of the House of the Future; and it's many innovations; We go for a ride on the Viewliner with Walt Disney as Special Conductor for Disney Studio Days with views of another Viewliner Train on the opposite track and traveling next to the Disneyland and Santa Fe Railroad; Motor Boat Cruise Scene; A Ride on the Skyway and a departure from the Swiss Chalet; Fantasyland Views including King Arthur Carrousel, Peter Pan Flight, Mad Tea Party with the Disneyland Band riding and playing at the same time, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride; Partial trip on the Storybook Land Canal Boats; Disneyland Gardener waters One of the Villages in Storybook Land; Scenes of Casey Jr. Circus Train; At the Town Square on Main Street, we view the Flag Lowering Ceremonies while the Disneyland Band plays; Lightup Time at Disneyland- The Park becomes a Magical Place at Night as all the Buildings, Rides and Attractions along with Fireworks light up to complete a Perfectly Wonderful Day at The Happiest Place on Earth - The DVD is a non professional copy but is Excellent Quality and Quite Clear -The Special was filmed in Black and White and shows Disneyland as it was before the Matterhorn, Submarine Voyage and Monorail opened in the Summer of 1959 - The Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle Advertisement is not from the DVD - See my Auctions for more Vintage Amusement Park, Postcards, Paper, Entertainment and other Items Note: The DVD is a little over 45 minutes in length.
