Wonderful Vintage Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty Magic Slate! Remember these? You draw and then lift the film to erase the image! This particular Magic Slate features the evil Malificent and the good fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather from one of Disney's first and most beautiful Color Feature-length films: Sleeping Beauty! This magic slate is 10 1/2" x 15 1/2" carboard and was made in 1959. It's No. 4952 and written in the bottom left hand corner is, "MADE IN USA, 'MAGIC SLATE' REG. T.M. OF THE WATKINS-STRATHMORE CO., AURORA, ILL., PAT. NO. 2660791". This is a toy that, although it has a few smudges and was clearly a used item, is in great condition and would still work if you had the right plastic writing utensil. What a fun find!
