For auction is a vintage tin wind up toy car made in Germany. I do believe, based upon research, that this is a Distler. This car is in really good condition, and has been tested and works. As far as i can tell, this item is in complete, original condition. There is some chipping of paint, a crinkle on/near the hood and a ding near the back and the front tires seem a little loose. It is an Ocean Blue color, with a bright red interior. It has a gear shifter and the steering is suppose to control the front wheels, though this may not work. Winds nicely, and will go for a long time. This is a perfect example of German Engineering, an amazing toy that works very well for being built in the 40's-50's. The key that is included is a Waterbury Clock Co. key. The car is approximately 10 1/2 inches long, 3 1/4 inches wide, and 3 inches tall.
