VintageDollhouse Artist Lot Description: This week we have quite a treat- an exceptional artist made Adobe style room box and its entire contents, all made in the mid 1980s-90s and no expense, apparently, was spared! The original owner had a nearly unlimited budget, and these pieces, all done in 1" to 1' scale, showcase the best of the best miniaturists' work during the period- much of it qualifies as art on an impossibly small scale. Please note that this auction is just for the item or items shown in the first picture; the roombox and the rest of the contents are up as well, in separate auctions, and we will be listing everything you see in the last photo. The first photo shows you what you will receive in this auction, and the last photo is a picture of the roombox itself. We just couldn't resist showing you everything as it was originally designed to be displayed! Here is what you get: This set of three pieces may have been custom made for the roombox; please do check the other auctions, as there are several pieces that match with this. This expertly made dark wood Southwest style bench with matching chair is 3 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" long, and is perfectly scaled for 1" to 1' scale houses; the chair is 3 1/2" tall x 2 1/4" wide, and the little stool or tray table is 1 1/2" tall x3" wide. We do think the small stool or table had either a cushion or a tray on it originally, but we do not have that piece; it would be a simple matter to replace it. Made of carefully handsawn and carved wood (look at those wonderfully turned arms!) with deftly painted turquoise and coral painted details, this has a very Spanish or Tudor feel to it. Look carefully at the tiny scrollwork on the top of the pieces- just wonderful and very fiddly work to make it, no doubt! All of these matching pieces in the set are marked with a stylized "J F". No chips or cracks, just a bit of white/clear miniaturists' wax still on the furniture feet.
