If you like what you see , then please visit my ABOUT ME page by clicking . This auction is for a really super piece of vintage western/Mexican cowboy Americana. This is an early, circa 1930's, double buscadero, double looped holster rig. The leather was custom-made thin for comfortable wearing. The hand tooling is exemplary. This rig boasts a sterling silver and pink gold buckle and tongue tip...most probably, Taxco. It is marked sterling, Mexico. T are no bullet loops, and never were. Each holster is backed by a piece of brass fitted and rounded to the owner's hips. Each holster is 11" tip to tip, and will accomodate a 7.5" Colt SAA revolver. As t is no nose piece to the holster, a 7.5" revolver does protrude about 1". Tip of belt tongue to end of belt (buckle side) 44 3/4". At some time, the billet was moved back about 1.5" to accomodate a smaller waist. The rig is in superb vintage condition, and represents a very nice example of matched Mexican double loop holsters on an early buscadero rig.
