THIS IS A VINTAGE DOUBLE WICK OIL/KEROSENE LAMP. IT STANDS 19" TO THE TOP OF THE CHIMNEY. THE SHADE IS 10" WIDE BY 7" HIGH. THE BASE AND THE HOLDER FOR THE TANK ARE MADE OF METAL THAT A MAGNET STICKS TO BUT EVERYTHING ELSE METAL IS BRASS. THE BOTTOM GLASS IS WHITE WITH A MOUNTAIN VIEW SCENE AND FLOWERS ON ONE SIDE AND FLOWERS ON THE OTHER SIDE. THE SHADE IS WHITE WITH LEAVES AND BERRIES ON BOTH SIDES. THE SHADE APPEARS TO BE VERY THIN AND LIGHT AND THE TOP OPENING IS VERY ROUGH ALL AROUND THE OPENING (SEE PICTURE).

THE TANK AND WICK SECTION COME OUT OF THE BASE AND HAS TWO KNOBS FOR TWO WICKS. IT HAS RAISED FLOWERS AND VINES ALONG THE TOP. THE FILL CAP DOES UNSCREW VERY NICELY AND THE KNOBS FOR THE WICKS BOTH MOVE FREELY. T IS A LEVER THAT YOU PUSH DOWN WHEN YOU LOWER THE WICKS AND IT RAISES THE SHUTES THAT THE WICKS GO THROUGH AND COVERS THE WICKS TO PUT OUT THE FLAMES.

THE RING WITH THE BARS FOR THE LAMP SHADE IS THE ONLY PIECE I CAN FIND WITH WRITING ON IT AND IT HAS PAT. FEB 18, 1879.

T ARE TWO FLAKE CHIPS ON THE OUTSIDE TOP OF THE SHADE W THE CHIMNEY COMES THROUGH. THE DESIGN FOR THE FLOWERS AND VINES AND LEAVES APPEAR TO BE ALL INTACT. JUST THE TOP OF THE SHADE W THE OPENING EDGES ARE VERY ROUGH. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE CHIMNEY IS ORIGINAL.

I TRY TO DESCRIBE ITEM AS BEST AS I CAN, BUT IF BUYER
